To document this innovative use of Bare Conductive ink by London agency Knit on their first project for denim manufacturer Hiut.
From the brand – “We make jeans. That’s it. Nothing else. No distractions. Nothing to steal our focus. No kidding ourselves that we can be good at everything. No trying to conquer the whole world.”
This was the first time we worked alongside the talented and innovative team at Knit. We were briefed on what the agency were planning on creating and had to be involved on concept alone.
This was a fast paced two day shoot – day one was spent documenting the creation of the display which can be seen in the video. Creative Technologist Jack Chalkley used Bare Conductive ink to fashion large touch sensitive panels that, when pressed by a passerby, would play a soundbite describing the process that Hiut employs in their craftsmanship.
Day two was spent documenting real interactions between the public and the window display. A speaker was fitted to beckon passersby to interact with the window. We decided to shoot at specialist denim stockist Rivet & Hide situation in London’s bustling Fitzrovia.
