EDEN MILL

OVERVIEW

Scotland’s gin scene is electric right now – if there’s one brand that’s riding this electric wave, it would be Eden Mill of St. Andrews. That’s why we were exciting to be invited to capture the making of their brand new Blendworksexperience, crafted by our friends at MadeBrave. Looking out across the world famous Old Course at St. Andrews golf links, Blendworks transports gin lovers to a true gin apothecary – the finished product is absolutely fantastic (we wouldn’t expect anything less from the meticulous team at MadeBrave!).

OBJECTIVE

To create a short film to show the finishing touches being applied to Eden Mill’s Blendworks experience in St. Andrews.

BACKGROUND

From the brand “At Blendworks, we invite you to join us on a journey of gin discovery, learning about the spirit’s history and working with our Blendworks tutors to create your very own gin.”

SHOOTING

We love a roadtrip, especially through Scotland. We joined the MadeBrave team and sign painter Ciaran Glöbel (Ciaran was the subject of our very first interview!) and got to work. St. Andrews’ beautiful beach provided an excellent backdrop (Chariots of Fire anyone?) to set the tone of the film. Eden Mill take great pride in their hometown and heritage – we thought it important to honour that.

Since opening, Eden Mill’s Blendworks experience has welcomed Scottish sporting heroes from the Scottish rugby team as well as players from Celtic FC 1st team and Women’s team. Celtic FC even released their own gin blend ‘Invincibles’!

The Eden Mill Blendworks project was filmed on Sony A7Sii in 4k on Samyang primes and stabilised on Zhiyun Crane handheld gimbal. Behind the scenes photos thanks to Pete Pelosi/MadeBrave.
